Roots of Christianity

The Roots of Christianity classes at World Harvest Community Church is designed to be a purposeful method of developing people to spiritual maturity and active ministry. These classes are to equip every believer for the work of the ministry fulfilling Ephesians 4:12-13 by helping them discover the gifts and talents God has given them and then placing them in an appropriate ministry.

This teaching series begins with seven anointed lessons on foundational truths that help believers and non-believers alike come to an understanding of who Christ is, what He provided for them, and how to obtain and live in victory through His provision. At the conclusion of these seven lessons the believer will know who He is and how to fight the good fight of faith.

The next step is to attend an Restoration retreat. The retreat is designed for each person to have an encounter with God and discover the freedom and liberty that is theirs in their new life in Christ. While at the retreat the person will encounter ones own personal detriments to spiritual growth and learn how to overcome them in order to live victoriously. The Encounter retreat is action packed. Everything is fit into a weekend setting which packs a real punch; yet, there is time for fun, laughter, good fellowship, excellent worship and even good food.

It is World Harvest Community Church's desire to motivate believers to understand the importance of growing and becoming a mature disciple of Christ. Therefore, the next series of classes consists of a twelve week course on discipleship. These classes will help individuals to grow in Christ, be conformed to His image and become a true disciple producing fruits of righteousness.

The God's DNA seminar is designed to help each person to discover their personality type and how to build a good relationship with the other three personalities. Each person will discover their spiritual gifts, how to develop them and where their gift functions in the body of Christ. This seminar is a one day event held on Saturday.

The third step in an individual's growth in Christ is learning to lead as Jesus led. As we study the life and ministry of Christ, individuals are prepared and equipped with the skills that are needed for ministry in leadership in the body of Christ.

After the completion of this journey there's a Champions' dinner in which each person is given recognition of the individual gifts and callings of God. The new leaders are challenged, commissioned, and anointed for ministry.
